Why are so many female models from Liverpool?

Am I right in noting that Liverpool is way ahead of any other area in UK in terms of number of female models making it to TV/tabloids? Why is that?

3. Liverpudlians seem to be more ambitious.
4. maybe there are many pretty Liverpudlians who meet the right criteria for modelling (waist and bust measurement, height etc)? i did read the other day in a magazine that women in Liverpool spend more money on fake tans than anywhere else in UK, so maybe the brown look is important to modelling agencies. Certainly bikini and glamour models are usually tanned. in Birmingham more money is spent on pedicures. Perhaps Birmingham is full of shoe models?
