- I dont think there are many qualifications, although people are probably going to go on about them having to be stick thin, but in Australia you need to be 18 or over to do serious modeling.
- You can model at any age, depending on the agency. If you're wanting to do high fashion (which is the most difficult to get into), you'll have to watch your weight (even though, thank God the waif model is becoming a thing of the past). If you want to do print work, the client will choose the "look" he or she is looking for in his models. As far as rules go, I know one in particular: you cannot be with more than one agency at the same time. If you sign with, let's say, the XYZ Agency and get a better offer later, you're stuck to your contract with XYZ until it runs out. So make sure you do plenty of research by asking the other models their experiences with the agency. Good luck to you. :)
- Age no bar! All models are not good looking. Acting skills required. Regular work is not assured. Most models do it as part time job. The modelling industry is exploiting girls in their own way.
- Age- different for every country, but as a general guideline maybe about 17, I think the modelling industry prefers younger models because naturally they look better in ads and on the runway. Problems faced: 1.Height and weight issues- now some countries' fashion weeks are banning models who are too thin. Of course, designers generally do not use "plus-sized models" either. 2. Industry sleazebags. (Don't know if you'll come across many of these, but it's always a possibility.) Rules: 1. Be fresh faced. The designer wants you as a clean palette to be moulded according to the mood of the set. Do not go on set wearing heavy makeup and accessories. 2. Be professional. Do not show up drunk or even the teeniest bit tipsy. Always be on time. Being late can incur heavy losses for the designer. No one wants to work with models like that. Be cooperative, and always listen and do what you're told. On the other hand, though, many models face extreme pressure to lose weight to look good for jobs. This can become very unhealthy because the modelling industry's standards are rather extreme, in my opinion. So always protect yourself first. 3. Know your client and your angles. When you get a job, make sure you have a basic understanding of what the client wants and always keep that in mind as you model. It's not just the clothes or the product you are selling, but rather the whole idea, concept and lifestyle that you are promoting. Know which side of your face looks the best, how to pose etc. Practice in the mirror.
- Just be open and receptive with all safety and contraceptives.
- Who ever said that you can only have one agent you are wrong. The first agent you sign with are called your mother agent. you can have a different agent in every state. but the more you have the more money they are gonna take from you..Say you work for Ford model and elite models. and Ford is your mother agent. and you do a photo shoot with elite models. Elite models is gonna take a percentage of the money you make and also ford will take a percentage of the money you make for being your founders and what ever is left over from that is what you get.
- You age should be 18 yrs min, and u should passed higher education.......
- I dont think the female models are facing the pfoblems. I would like to say they all are creating the problems for themselfs by the way, wearing shorts and seen half of the nude. no qualification.
- I'm a model. contact me for becoming a model.
- well..no problems at all....jujst b sure to have right fixture to the respective jigs..hehehhe...modeling is somthing where u get exposed to worled and get fucked by so many famous people without charge...why u wanna waste ur time..when every one here on net is noticing u & offcourse readdy to KOOL u down. !!!
- despite of age or features ..... a model should be a role model....whatever is being expressed by the model should facinate all of others.... as this would be the real approach to the viewers......!!!
