Why would a man with good female role models treat women as play things?

From an immediate family of medical doctors so should know better. Speaks highly of mother and sister so what went wrong with him?

1. It's not his problem if they choose to be used this way.
2. "From an immediate family of medical doctors" no there is no reason they know better because they are doctors. make no sense.
3. Environment at home and socially (friends, co-workers, tv, etc.) probably play a lot into how he views women.
